Certification

Certification

All types of electrical certification can be undertaken, here are a few of the most common.

EICR - Your electrical installation should always be covered by an in date Electrical Installation Condition Report, commonly known as EICR. From April-2021, It’s a legal requirement for landlords to provide copy of EICR to their existing or new tenants.

PAT Testing - Where a landlord provides an electrical appliance as part of a tenancy, the law expects the appliance will be maintained in a safe condition that will not cause harm to the tenant. Failure to do so could lead to the landlord being sued for negligence. However, the law is silent on how landlords should ensure they do this. As such, PAT (portable appliance testing) is always best practice for landlords. A PAT test inspects and tests the condition of plug in electrical items, such as heaters

Emergency Lighting Testing - Emergency lighting is required in many situations, such as flats, these lights need testing and signing off monthly and annually, we can advise and assist you with this.
